Creativity and Innovation: What’s Style Got to Do with It (and does it matter)?

I was invited to speak at the CHRA conference in historic and beautiful Quebec City, Canada. The gathering of Human Resources professionals occurs annually in the fall with hundreds of people in attendance. It was an honour to be asked and a delight to participate.

In addition to the giving an interactive 90-minute presentation on personality styles and creativity, I was interviewed on questions important to HR professionals.

  1. Why is it important to integrate creative thinking into organizational planning efforts?
  2. What stands in the way of people using their creativity at work?
  3. Do creativity styles really matter? In what ways?
  4. What are the four key things that HR professionals need to know in order to easily advance innovation and creativity in the workplace?

Here’s a link to the result.  It’s a 6-minute clip and I hope you enjoy watching it.  The production team did a great job, you’ll see.  http://www.portailrh.org/StudioRH/MSegal
